Hwe, this job of mine has become so much more of a pain than I thought it would be ^_^; I was trained for 3 days in the store by Gamestop by Laury, who pretty much showed me all the ropes and taught me a lot of things for just in case I wouldn't be helped that much when I'm at my store. Plus, I wouldn't have a kiosk and might have possibly not had a display case ^_^ the job itself is easy and surprisingly does take a bit longer than people would think. I mean, I have my own display that I have to unstock and restock every new recipe, and to restock, I have to shop around the whole store twice to put everything back on the shelves in their correct place and to get everything I need from the shelves. Afterwards, I go back to my kiosk and display and fill it up in a nice arrangement so that everything looks good. And that's without me even starting, it takes a good 1-2 hours +_+ and thats hoping I can find and put back all the things, otherwise I have to go bring things to the back and find the proper area to place the items and find the items I ordered that might not have been put on the shelves. @__@
After I got my certification from her, I started working at the other store with her help, and it turned out that the store I was working at, in the ghetto, is definently not as good as the one I trained at ^_^; I had to deal with a lot of 3rd-rate equipment and such, not to mention I only had a metal seafood table and one case that tends to go lower than the law-required 40 degrees +__+; after picking up the things I needed, I made my first meal at the store with a world of difficulty because I didn't have 2 skillets and the 1 I was left with was of pretty low quality ^__^; but I was doing everything efficiently and at least at a normal speed.
Then I realized that my management has a really poor understanding of what my job entails. Everyone was surprised that I didn't make 5 meals a day +_+; but the max we can usually make in an 8-hour span is 3 meals, and that is if the recipe is simple. Melody thought I was going so slow that she even sent Laury to work with me for a few days. But it was just due to a poor understanding of the Aprons Program that I'm a part of +__+; And just when I thought that maybe they understood, Melody came by me one day and said that I NEED to serve a dessert as well as the meal I had given instructions to prepare and serve. T_T she didn't even let me explain much, she just had the bakery pull out a cake and put it on my table for me to serve >_>; So now more than half the people that came to my table just wanted cake and wouldn't try out the product I worked hard to make, which is what the Aprons program is about; presenting simple-to-make meals that taste good and take under 30minutes to prepare. I even spoke to Laury about it, but I think she's pretty much leaving me on my own for this one. +__+;;; Well, I'll just wait until they give me more complaints so I can give them reasons of my own.
Most of the people I met at my store are okay, Daniel had helped me out a bit, but of course I have to be scared of the pasted-on-smile assistant manager, Mark, and the fussy manager, Melody +_+ I don't know, I haven't really met anyone that I was buddy-buddy with yet, but its fine for now ^_^; but I do need someone that I can go to for questions, but maybe that will just come with time~
Wah, the week Sandii was over was just great ^_^ while we didn't do enough, we did get around to doing a lot ^__^; Its a shame that I had to work so much during the week, but we somehow found a way to enjoy ourselves
I was training at the Publix next to Gamestop a lot, but we had hour lunch breaks, so Sandii was dropped off by my job and we had lunch together a few times *o* it was so nice to be able to hang out with her even at work and shtuff. We also got to go to the Pembroke Lakes Mall, where I picked her and myself up a few things, and I even took her to Oakwood Plaza in hopes I'd meet some of my friends ^_^; strangely, the ones who lived by there I was unable to reach, but I did manage to get in contact with Ken, and he drove us around a bit and dropped us off home too after we stopped at Gamestop to say hi to everyone ^o^
We went to Boomers as well, and me and Sandii-chan tore up the DDR machine x3 she's gotten so surprisingly good and she's catching up to me fast, so I better start practicing more @___@ she even destroyed me at every fighting game that we played +__+ I was about to cry...and then we went outside and played some miniature golf, which she also beat me at TT-TT I love her so much x3
I think the most enjoyable trip for us was to the beach ^_^ we even went in the water and had lotsa fun and shtuff, and it was really nice *o* when it started getting dark, we got out to dry off and wash and shake off whatever amount of sand we could get off ^_^(\ instead of going to a expensive nearby restaurant, we just went to 7-11 and picked up some nummy sammiches and snacks and sat by the boardwalk, where there was also someone playing on the guitar nice spanish music ^_^ and we had a beautiful view of the night sky over the ocean, and it was just wonderful *__* ahhh~
My mom was very supportive of us throughout Sandii's stay @__@ she's even offered Sandii-chan to hole up here with me until we're ready to live on our own, and I'm glad to be able to offer Sandii-chan that kind of support ^_(\ of course, I will be working my hardest to be with her, but at least I can rid her of her worries of being kicked out and having nowhere to live~
*o* I can't wait until I see her again~ *melts* Sandii-chan~~~
